Chroma Earns B Corp Certification

Jul 2 2013

Bellows Falls, VT (July 1, 2013) - Chroma Technology Corp. of Bellows Falls, Vermont is now a certified B Corporation. Employee-owned since its start, and with a strong commitment to precision manufacturing, customer service, and social justice, Chroma sought the certification after recognizing the natural alignment between the two organizations.

Being a Certified B corporation allows us to show the world what we mean when we talk about our corporate responsibility and how we fulfill our commitments to our customers, our employee owners and the community at large,” said Chroma Technology founder and president Paul Millman.

Chroma joins more than 775 corporations in 27 countries representing 60 industries that use the power of business to help solve social and environmental problems. Certified B Corporations must meet rigorous, independent and transparent standards for social and environmental performance. By being certified as a B Corporation, a company’s social enterprise platform is written into its corporate governance and directors of B Corporations are required to consider the effect of decisions not only on shareholders, but also on other stakeholders, such as workers, community, and the environment.
