Indirect Immunofluorescence
IMAGE DESCRIPTION
Indirect immunofluorescence reveals the presence of pre-mRNA splicing factors (red) in distinct nuclear subcompartments termed speckles, which are situated between chromatin domains (blue) during interphase. As cells enter mitosis, chromosomes condense and speckles disperse, possibly to ensure equal segregation of proteins between daughter cells.
